Maroons captain Cam Smith and coach Kevin Walters took part in a media conference that featured a number of light-hearted moments after the Queensland levelled the series with a spirted fightback win in Game II.
The victory means the deciding match will be played on Queensland soil at Suncorp Stadium.
The skipper was filled with admiration for his great mate Johnathan Thurston – who despite his battered body – was able to land the match winning goal kick.
“He’s a warrior, isn’t he,” Smith said of JT.
Walters was also nothing but praise for the four debutants who put in a great performacne in the hostile enviroment of ANZ Stadium.
