Maroons history
State of Origin… it all began with Queensland Rugby League president Senator Ron McAuliffe's mission to convince New South Wales to allow Queensland-born players to 'come home' and wear the Queensland Maroons jersey. Since the first Origin game in 1980, 225 players have donned the jersey and made the state proud.
Former Origin Greats
The Queensland Maroons have had 221 players inducted as Former Origin Greats. All players listed have been ordered chronologically by State of Origin debut.
