The Under 15 and Under 16 Queensland Academy of Sport junior representative squads will begin their camps at Currimundi today, with players from all three QRL Divisions represented.
The players are from across the state and include a mix of those with representative experience and new faces.
QRL Head of Football Neil Wharton said the QAS program was an important elite development pathway.
“It has a strong history of identifying and developing players that will go on to represent Queensland down the track,” he said.
“We have a very experienced team running the program that will give these guys the best opportunity to reach their potential in 2016.
“We look forward to them growing and developing throughout the season.”
The Under 18 squad will be announced later in the week.
