Ipswich Jets coaches Ben and Shane Walker will place their faith in their existing squad and rising local talent in next year’s Intrust Super Cup.
While many rival clubs have been extremely active in the player market, the Jets have minimal movement around their ‘gains’ column with TRL players Mitchell Koina and Sam Capewell the only newcomers confirmed so far.
Ipswich will instead bank on the stability that comes with re-signing the majority of their 2014 squad and bringing through talented young guns like Landon Hayes and Daniel Jennings.
The most notable losses for the Jets are centre Brendon Marshall and fullback Javarn White.
Marshall has retired from the Intrust Super Cup and will next year play in the Ipswich Rugby League for Northern Suburbs.
White is returning home to Central Queensland to link with the Capras after three excellent years with Ipswich.
The Jets also have three players – Matt Parcell, Carlin Anderson and Rod Griffin – training with NRL affiliate the Brisbane Broncos.
The trio will return to the Jets if not required by the Broncos throughout the 2015 season.
Ipswich is set to be boosted by the expected return of Haydan Lipp and Tyson Lofipo from injury, while Marmin Barba is back in the green and white for another season – this time though as a Jets contracted player.
