Biography

An explosive outside back, Stuart Kelly debuted for the Maroons aged 21, after a scintillating start to his first-grade career.

The Taroom product played for Gold Coast Seagulls in 1995 and represented Queensland Under 19s that year, in a curtain raiser to State of Origin II, at the MCG.

He signed with Parramatta in 1996, finding a home as a centre. He was back at the MCG in 1997 with the Queensland State of Origin side.

Stu is a talent all-round kid and he would sell ice creams for you at halftime and do a good job.

Brian Smith former Parramatta coach

Kelly joined Brisbane Broncos in 2001, his first match the World Club Challenge clash with St Helens in England.

In 2003, he was the only Bronco to appear in every first-grade match. He retired at the end of the 2005 season.

Kelly played finals football in all three seasons at Parramatta, and then his first four seasons with the Broncos.
