Nicky Thomas
Born and raised in Toowoomba, Queensland, Nicky Thomas’ journey has been shaped by her roots in a big, football-loving family. Growing up surrounded by team sports, she learned early on the importance of community and connection.
Nicky’s path to this role has been anything but conventional. From serving in the Royal Australian Navy to working as a youth worker in the Northern Territory, Nicky’s career took unexpected turns before she found her calling in mental health and wellbeing.
Now settled in North Queensland, Nicky feels fortunate to call this vibrant region home. Earning a Master’s Degree in Mental Health, her previous roles in counselling, and involvement in community development initiatives, Nicky’s approach is grounded in empathy and understanding. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives of others, particularly in mental health. Whether it's through lending a listening ear or collaborating on grassroots projects, she's committed to fostering positive change in her community.
