Born and raised in Auckland New Zealand, David Solomona is happily married with three beautiful daughters.

Solomona played professionally in the NRL and English Super League for 15 years, and also represented New Zealand and Samoa at international level, before moving to Brisbane in 2013.

He ran mentoring programs in high schools in Ipswich and Logan before being employed by the NRL in November of 2014 as a welfare and education officer.

Solomona holds a Certificate IV in Career Development, and is also currently completing a Certificate IV in Elite Athlete Wellbeing.

He has been involved in the highest form of the game for more than 20 years and his role involves working closely with junior representative teams, Intrust Super Cup teams, NRL clubs and NRL players who are transitioning into retirement.

Solomona’s passion kept firing with his involvement in helping to inspire and educate players in our game of rugby league to become better men, women and young adults in their clubs, family and the community.
