Statewide competitions for senior players provide a direct pathway to the NRL.
The Hostplus Cup and BMD Premiership sees NRL and NRLW contracted players taking to the field weekly alongside semi-professional contracted players.
BMD Premiership
- Senior women’s competition for players aged 18 years and above
- 12-week pre-season between December and March
- Nine regular rounds, plus a finals series between April and June
- BMD – 2025 structure TBC
Hostplus Cup
- Senior men’s competition for players aged 18 years and above
- 14-week pre-season between November and March
- 23 rounds plus finals between March and September
