Males 17-19

Around 15 years of age players may decide to increase the time and effort they direct towards their rugby league.

The statewide competitions for men and women between the ages of 16 and 19.

Cyril Connell Cup 

Purpose:

Entry point to male statewide competitions as players consider investing more time and effort towards their rugby league. For players aged 16 and 17.

Program design:

The pre-season runs for 10-12-weeks, followed by seven rounds of weekly matches plus finals.

Season length:

The pre-season starts in December, with the competition beginning in February until April. Trials are generally held in October – please contact your closest club for further details

Mal Meninga Cup

Purpose:

The Mal Meninga Cup provides an opportunity for players to increase their commitment and investment towards rugby league. For players aged 17-19

Program design:

The pre-season runs for 10-12-weeks, followed by 11 rounds plus finals. The games are played in pools, with the final 4 rounds aligned with the Hostplus Cup.

Season length:

The pre-season starts in November, with the season running February to May. Trials are generally held in October – please contact your closest club for further details
