XXXX Rivalry Round is here with Tweed up against their nearest beach neighbour in Burleigh sure to reignite their hatred on Sunday.
Here are two teams that aren’t collecting each other’s mail on holidays, or putting the bins out in a kind neighbourly gesture.
They are more likely to shake their towel and put sand everywhere at the beach.
The last two times the Bears have played the Seagulls it’s been carnage in the cul-de-sac with the Bears winning by a combined 94-to-26.
Burleigh are a long way in front in the games-won tally with 24 wins compared to the Tweed’s 15.
Burleigh have lost their last seven games in an unheard-of turn of events in Hostplus Cup history as the Bears look out of form.
Last week against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls, Burleigh started like they were back to their normal self but then it all fell away - the Bears had scored the first four tries, but from there lost 36-24.
Cameron Bukowski came on for Wynnum and suddenly the Bears middle third didn’t look as strong -could that be where the Seagulls go this week to unlock the Bears' defence?
The Bears will be looking to their experienced halves to right the wrongs of Round 2 with Josh Rogers and Guy Hamilton having played so much Hostplus Cup.
A combined 258 Cup games in your halves goes a long way to winning games and gets the ball where it needs to be.
Then it will be over to the big Bears outside backs to finish off chances like they did in the first 20 minutes against Wynnum.
They scored all the points against Wynnum Manly, which means the ball was getting to them and they were scoring untouched too - so space and time was being made.
The Bears need to take that 20 minutes and extend it out, but they need to hold the Seagulls for longer first.
Tweed have lost two of their last three away games and will be fired up to make sure that trend doesn’t continue this week.
The Seagulls started like the Bears - they were clinical and precise against the Northern Pride with three tries before the Pride had one is great momentum.
Tweed's forward pack is their weapon with Tukimihia Simpkins leading the way with 73 minutes and 169 metres for his team.
Their forward pack got over the top of a pack with NRL players Jamal Shibasaki and Origin player Jeremiah Nanai.
That’s a gold star for the Seagulls right there.
In the battle of the halves, Tom Weaver is going to have to play his part this week.
Weaver doesn’t have the experience of Rogers and Hamilton but he is developing that half like guile with 29 games Weaver is using the weapons around him to get outcomes.
Tweed’s first try was set up with a Weaver run that got the Seagulls exactly what and where they wanted and from there, he was on the right ready to deliver a short ball for Jacob Alick-Wiencke to score.
It was another Weaver run that put Seagulls in position to score their second try when the Pride rushed up and he got behind the line.
The Prince of Piggabeen Lindon McGrady has moved to 8th all-time goal-kicker in the competition with 393 goals, passing Shaun Nona (390) - he is four goals behind 7th place Damian Richters
Lamar Manuel-Liolemave has moved to 143 games - the 5th most games for Tweed passing Nat Barnes (142).
