Redcliffe Juniors will meet West Brisbane Panthers in the major semi final this Saturday after a comprehensive win over Beenleigh 42-28.

Defending premiers Wynnum Manly Juniors ended Valleys season 28-12 to progress to the minor semi-final against the Pride, to be played at Hammel Park.

West Brisbane earned the week off last week. The minor premiers will now suit up to take on Redcliffe at Frank Lind Oval from 3pm.

The last time they met was at Kayo Stadium where the Dolphins took the win 30-12.

However, in Round 8, the Panthers, at Kev McKell Oval taught the new boys a lesson 40-6.

The Panthers boast one of the best playmakers in the game in Shane Pumipi - outstanding from dummy half and has the vision to put players the likes of leading point scorer Kyle Van Klaveren, in gaps.

Skipper and Queensland City selection Sam Collins, aka Mr Consistent, has played plenty of finals footy and will be the calming influence if the Panthers are to have another week off.

Redcliffe have the mercurial Thomas Casey as their focal point for back-to-back wins.

Michael McGrath has the experience and guile to bring an added headache to the Panthers' defence.

Leading up front where Redcliffe have been most damaging is Larry Siala.

One side will go straight to the grand final at Totally Workwear Stadium on September 14, the other will walk the tightrope.

The Seagulls were too good for Valleys last week and will now take on fellow affiliate club Beenleigh in the minor semi-final.

Beenleigh will look to improve after last week's loss. They will be at their home Hammel Park for the 3pm kick off.

The front row from both sides hold the key to staying alive in 2024.

For Beenleigh, it's the vast NRL experience of Sam Mataora, a rising star in Queensland Under 19 captain Cameron Bukowski, and Garrett Smith.

The Juniors have Lachlan Lee, Toby Westcott and Connor Brebner. They ain’t pretty, but they are pretty good at what they do.

The two sides last met in Round 10 on June 16, when the Pride pipped the 'Gulls 22-20. That was a long time ago.

The season will come to an end for one side. Good luck picking which one.
