Teams selected for XXXX Queensland City v Country

Queensland Rugby League has announced men’s and women’s teams selected for the XXXX Queensland City v Country in September.

The Queensland City teams were chosen from the XXXX Chair’s Challenge earlier this month, while the Queensland Country teams were picked from the XXXX 47th Battalion Memorial Trophy in July and the XXXX Foley Shield in May.

QRL general manager of community rugby league, Adam Vanzanten, congratulated the players selected and said he was looking forward to seeing them in action.

“These players represent the best of community rugby league in Queensland and deserve their selection on the back of their outstanding performances in our regional carnivals this year,” Vanzanten said.

“I know players from each of the City and Country sides will wear their jerseys with pride and be eager to put their best foot forward as they represent their regions and the volunteers who make community rugby league clubs thrive.

“We’re so excited to be able to offer this opportunity and can’t wait to see two high quality contests play out on Hostplus Cup grand final day in September.

“Both women’s and men’s matches will be live and free to view on Qplus.tv, putting an additional spotlight on some the talented players and coaches involved in our leagues across Queensland.”

Coaches for each of the teams were named in June.
