Hostplus Cup clubs knew the assignment ahead of Round 19 and delivered a blockbuster weekend of footy for Country Week, presented by Ford.
With fairly convincing wins across the board, there were electric individual performances, massive team efforts and a good old upset between the Souths Logan Magpies and Burleigh Bears in Tamborine Mountain.
A number of Magpies players stood up to make this happen, including Tristan Sailor, Radean Robinson, Will Samuel and Callum Eggerling.
But it was backrower Tyler Coburn who helped set the platform to make the vital 32-18 win happen and has been this week's Team of the Week captain.
Each round, Queensland Rugby League recognises the 17 best performers and names the Hostplus Cup Team of the Week, presented by Hostplus. These team selections are based not only on statistical data, but also take on board live and broadcast viewings of the games.
Round 19 clash of the week: Magpies v Bears
Round 19 Team of the Week
1. Tristan Sailor - Souths Logan Magpies
After missing Souths Logan's Round 18 loss to the Tweed Seagulls, Brisbane Broncos affiliate Sailor gave his side some much-needed pep as he returned in the No.1 jersey for Country Week, presented by Ford. At his electric best, Sailor added to the upset victory over the fourth-placed Bears, proving dangerous with the ball in hand. The fullback amassed a round-high 228 run metres and recorded one try, six tackle breaks, two offloads and a line break in an attacking masterclass. Other strong fullback performances came from Tom Chester for the Pride and Jordan Lipp for the Devils.
2. Edrick Lee - Central Queensland Capras
The Dolphins NRL affiliate was the star of the show in Middlemount. In a lethal right-side combination with centre Kurtis Farr and five-eighth Anthony Milford, Lee was able to cross three times to get the two points over the Dolphins and keep the Capras in the top eight. The speedy winger also ran for 120 metres and made two line breaks and a tackle bust.
3. Kurtis Farr - Central Queensland Capras
Farr (pictured above) was just as instrumental as his outside man on Saturday evening, playing a key part in the 38-10 victory over Redcliffe. The Central Queensland centre scored a try of his own and set up another two. He also notched up 123 run metres, three tackle breaks, two line break assists and a line break, as well as 17 tackles in a strong defensive performance for the Capras.
4. Gehamat Shibasaki - Townsville Blackhawks
Shibasaki was a busy man on Saturday afternoon in Mount Isa. As the Blackhawks strengthened their finals hopes with the two points over Brisbane Tigers, the former NRL centre put in a massive effort to get his side over the line. Shibasaki scored a try and set up another, and recorded 168 run metres, a huge seven tackle busts, a line break, line break assist and an offload. He also made 13 tackles. Other impressive centres included rugby union convert Carter Gordon, who played his first game of rugby league with the Tweed Seagulls and scored a try and set up another. Souths Logan's Ethan Quai-Ward, Norths' Tesi Niu, Sunshine Coast's Thallon Peters and Northern Pride duo Braidon Burns and Will Partridge also starred.
5. Dudley Dotoi - Townsville Blackhawks
In back-to-back Team of the Week appearances, Dotoi bagged a double to help his side to victory on Saturday. The Townsville winger also ran for 141 metres with a line break. On the opposite side of the park, Ronald Philitoga was dangerous for the Tigers with 201 run metres while Jensen Taumoepeau also amassed 199 run metres for the Pride.
6. Radean Robinson - Souths Logan Magpies
The Souths Logan Magpies playmaker was instrumental in their upset victory over the Burleigh Bears on Saturday. Robinson fired with Brandon Finnegan alongside him, setting up two tries and running for 136 metres. He also had three tackle breaks, two line break assists, two offloads and 23 tackles, with just one miss. Other strong five-eighths over the weekend included Ipswich's Dray Ngatuere-Wroe and Tweed's Tom Steadman.
7. Tom Duffy - Northern Pride
The North Queensland Cowboys playmaker has had an outstanding season for the Pride this year and continues to shine for the competition leaders. A contender for captaincy honours, Duffy was again a standout against the Wynnum Manly Seagulls, bagging two tries and setting up another double. Duffy also had two tackle breaks, a line break and a line break assist.
8. Jackson Owen - Tweed Seagulls
Tweed continue to cling onto their finals hopes and prop Owen was key to this on Sunday against the Clydesdales in Dalby. In 60 minutes on the field, he smashed through 150 run metres with two tackle breaks, a line break, an offload and 25 tackles with 100 per cent efficiency.
9. Taniela Otukolo - Western Clydesdales
The former New Zealand Warrior continues to be a shining light for the Western Clydesdales this year. Against Tweed on Sunday, he ran for 165 metres with three tackle busts and made 31 tackles in a strong all-around performance. Other impressive hookers included Pride's Kyle Schneider with 39 tackles while Toby Thorburn had a good attacking game for Townsville and Callum Eggerling provided plenty of spark off the bench for Souths Logan.
10. Will Samuel - Souths Logan Magpies
Packing a punch from the bench, Samuel added plenty of fire to the contest against the Bears on Saturday. The prop toiled through 49 minutes on the field, amassing 180 run metres. He also had two tackle breaks and 13 tackles. Other standout performances included Brendan Frei for Wynnum Manly and James Tamou for Townsville.
11. Jacob Alick-Wiencke – Tweed Seagulls
Either of Tweed's backrowers could have made Team of the Week, but Alick-Wiencke gets the nod for heavy involvement across the park. Against the Clydesdales, the Gold Coast Titans affiliate had 115 run metres, a try assist, five offloads, three line break assists, two tackle breaks and 29 tackles in a solid all-round effort. His fellow backrower Jacob McCudden meanwhile ran for a huge 191 metres.
12. Tyler Coburn - Souths Logan Magpies (C)
It was a much-needed win for Souths Logan on Saturday and Coburn was one of the forwards who laid the platform for the spine to fire. The backrower was sensational with 187 run metres, seven tackle busts, a line break and an offload. He also scored a try and matched his efforts in defence with 25 tackles at 100 per cent efficiency. A mammoth effort against Burleigh earned him the captaincy nod this week.
13. Sam Burns - Sunshine Coast Falcons
A determined Falcons outfit badly wanted to get one back over the Ipswich Jets after a recent loss to their opponent and were able to do so in Round 19, inspired by captain Sam Burns. While there were a number of strong performers across the park in South Kolan, Burns fired with 153 run metres, 25 tackles, a line break and an offload. He also earned a try for his efforts. Other impressive locks included Central Queensland's Lachlan Hubner, Townsville's Nick Brown and Wynnum Manly's Ollie Pascoe. Burleigh No.13 Sam Coster also made a huge 50 tackles against Souths Logan.
14. Oryn Keeley - Norths Devils
Unlucky to not get a starting spot in a big week from backrowers, the Dolphins NRL affiliate was impressive in Bowen. He ran for 177 metres with three line break assists, three tackle breaks, two offloads and 26 tackles.
15. Anthony Milford - Central Queensland Capras
It was like splitting hairs between Milford and Robinson this week for starting five-eighth. A worthy inclusion in Team of the Week, the Dolphins NRL affiliate was key for the Central Queensland Capras in Middlemount. The former Brisbane Bronco set up three tries and also recorded 123 run metres, four tackle breaks, a line break assist and one offload.
16. Lindon McGrady - Tweed Seagulls

17. Ewan Moore - Northern Pride
Another strong second row performance came from Pride's Moore. Not only did he score a try and register 66 run metres and a line break in attack, but he was key for his side in defence, making a mammoth 51 tackles in Cooktown. His tackle count was the round-high for Country Week.
