Queensland have been a dominant force within the Wheelchair State Challenge for the past three years and this weekend will rely on new faces to continue their winning run.
As the team - coached by England international Jack Brown - aim to claim their fourth straight title over New South Wales this Saturday, they will carry four debutants into the clash at Brendale's South Pine Sports Centre, in the Moreton Bay region.
Co-captain Brett Bazley said the new-look side still had plenty of experience, including Pete Arbuckle, Zac Schumacher and Bayley McKenna, but they had this year worked on developing their team bonds to ensure everyone was on the same page ahead of Saturday.
"When we had our first camp on the Gold Coast, we went around the room and chose values for this team," Bazley said.
"It was what we believe putting on this jersey means. We chose as a team – our coaches, our support staff – values to abide by this year to knit our new team together.
"We all signed a jumper to say this is what we’ve signed onto and agreed to. It was a clean slate of a new team.
"The building of bonds and trust was a big stepping stone."
