Norths Devils and Townsville Blackhawks slogged it out in their Round 10 clash at Bishop Park.

Devils centre Jordan Lipp scored a double in his side's win following the BMD Premiership semi-final, where Meg Ward's Devils claimed a spot in the grand final.

Devils captain Kierran Moseley said he was "relieved to get the win".

"Blackhawks have a lot of experience and they grunted that one until the end there and pushed us... was a tough one," Moseley said.

"I think everyone did the really well... the middles just kept turning up in defence... overall, we've just been trying to stay connected and find some consistency. Everyone did their jobs tonight, which is good."

Moseley said his side was buoyed by the Devils' BMD Premiership win.

"Really good for the girls and the club," Moseley said.

"They work really hard... you rip in and get through the hard work and then you reap the rewards... good on them."

Blackhawks winger Kalifa Faifai-Loa said it was a tough game against the Devils.

"Twelve points down at half-time... we had to dig deep," Faifai-Loa said.

"They had a good first half and then we tried coming back in the second, which we did, and then they scored that last try at the end to seal it.

"Good, gutsy win from them."

Faifai-Loa said people should keep an eye out for Blackhawks fullback Lennix Tovo, who scored a double against the Devils, in upcoming rounds.

"It was only his third game for us this year," Faifai-Loa said.

"Two doubles in two weeks... he's doing well for us... he's created attacking plays for us, which we lacked in the first eight rounds, and now the young head has come in, in only his third game of rugby league at this level... he has come from rugby union... high praises to him.

"He got our man of the match last week and I reckon he got it again for us this week."

Faifai-Loa said his side had Brisbane Tigers in Round 11 and they would not "not take them lightly".

"We need to work on our discipline... we give away six-again, give away penalties and then they just march up the field and make the most of it... and when they give away penalties, we don't make the most of it," Faifai-Loa said.

"Hats off the Norths. That's why they're up the top."

PNG Hunters hooker Judah Rimbu scored a hat-trick in his side's win over Ipswich Jets in Port Moresby.

The two sides were fairly even in the first half of their clash, going into half-time 16-14, but the Hunters scored four tries in the second half to secure the two points.

Northern Pride put on a masterclass against Mackay Cutters.

Pride's Rashaun Denny and Dane Aukafolau both scored doubles as their side scored 10 tries to the Cutters' one.
