Westpac and QRL get excited for Maroons shield tour

Westpac and the Queensland Rugby League are teaming up to bring a unique State of Origin experience to regional Queensland.

Former Queensland Maroons players including Shane Webcke, Josh Hannay and Brent Tate, will be part of an Origin shield tour that kicks off in the rugby league heartland of Toowoomba tomorrow.

The initiative follows the launch of the new partnership between the QRL and Westpac that will support all levels of the game in Queensland over the next three years.

In a huge win for league-loving fans, the Westpac regional tour will showcase the new Maroons jersey and both State of Origin shields from September 20-23.

Fans will be invited to take pictures with both shields, with fans able to use a bespoke filter which allows them to try the new jersey on virtually before it becomes available in December.
