Queensland Rugby League has today announced the Queensland Under 17 City and Queensland Under 17 Country squads for the representative boys clash to be played at the Logan Metro Sports Complex this month.
The September 23 match will feature some of the game’s best male talent from the QRL’s statewide competitions.
Fans with a keen interest in following Queensland’s emerging stars have a lot to get enthusiastic about, with the boys’ match to get underway at 1.15pm after the Queensland Under 17 City versus Country girls’ clash at the new Logan venue.
Both Queensland male squads will enter camp on the Gold Coast on September 18 to begin preparations for the annual clash.
Former NRL and English Super League player Jordan Rankin has been appointed City coach, taking over from David Stagg.
For the Country squad, Antonio Kaufusi returns to the head coaching role after guiding last year’s team to a strong 38-20 victory.
