The race for the top eight intensified after Round 10, as Brisbane returned to first place and Wynnum Manly triumphed in the Battle of the Bayside.

The Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Redcliffe Dolphins put on a performance worthy of two top five teams on Sunday.
Going into the clash at BMD Kougari Oval, Redcliffe were sitting in top spot on the Hastings Deering Colts ladder while Wynnum Manly were in fifth.
And in a seesawing affair that saw the momentum swing both ways multiple times, it was the Seagulls that claimed the upset victory, thanks to the boot of five-eighth Jordan Davies.
The Seagulls came bursting out of the blocks, scoring five tries in the opening stanza to Redcliffe's one, taking a 28-6 lead into halftime.
But the Dolphins fought back bravely, nabbing four tries in the opening 12 minutes of the second half.
It was hooker Tyree Bowman who then locked in the win for the home team, scoring in the 64th minute, with Davies converting.
Corey Thomas responded for the Dolphins four minutes later, but it wasn't enough to get his side over the line.
Davies kicked five conversions to Redcliffe's three, making all the difference after both sides scored six tries apiece.
The 34-30 win saw Wynnum Manly maintain fifth place, but they are now on the same points as the second-placed Dolphins.

Brisbane Tigers are back on top after suffering their first loss of the season in Round 9.
With a convincing 54-18 win over the Jets at North Ipswich Reserve, the Tigers are now the standalone leaders on 18 points.

However, from the second-placed Dolphins down to the sixth-placed Bears, all teams sit on 16 points, showing how close the competition is with just six rounds remaining.
In that group, Redcliffe and Wynnum Manly hold the strongest position, with both teams on seven wins, awaiting their second byes of the season.
Souths Logan currently round out the top eight, after a come-from-behind win over Norths at Bishop Park on Sunday.

Townsville put in a massive performance against the Northern Pride, with a number of players standing up to record the 58-6 victory.
Prop Tyrone Gunn-James nabbed two tries, ran for 164 metres, had eight tackle busts and two line breaks, while fellow forward, lock Luke Jack, also earned a double and ran for 166 metres with a huge 11 tackle breaks, two line breaks and 24 tackles with zero missed tackles to pick up this week's Heavy Lifter.

Townsville winger Cathane Hill found a hat-trick while prop Jeremiah Matautia amassed 210 metres.
Elsewhere, Brisbane halfback Jake House scored a hat-trick, Burleigh centre Cruz Lasike ran for 239 metres, Central Queensland fullback Ryder Huth recorded a massive 12 tackle breaks, and his teammate and hooker Jackson Miller made 34 tackles in the middle with zero misses.
