Dolphins hooker Jeremy Marshall-King is one of five players tied atop the Dally M standings from Round 1 after picking up maximum points in his side's upset win over the Roosters.

The hooker was a standout as Wayne Bennett's side produced a stunning second half against the Tricolours to earn their first ever win – setting up two tries with a linebreak and a linebreak assist while also adding 40 tackles and 123 metres.

Marshall-King collected three votes from each judge, giving him a maximum six points from the match, while teammates Felise Kaufusi – who picked up the Artie Legacy Medal as player of the match – was awarded four points.

Fullback Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow picked up one point from each judge.

Phins up and Hammer down

Marshall-King's six points see him level with Rabbitohs halfback Lachlan Ilias, Storm hooker Harry Grant, Warriors fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and Manly skipper Daly Cherry-Evans after they all picked up maximum points in Round 1.

Cowboys fullback Scott Drinkwater and Titans forward David Fifita sit narrowly behind on five points, while Payne Haas and Dylan Edwards each picked up four points in the Broncos' thrilling one-point win over Penrith.

DCE in the points

The revamped Dally M voting process will see two judges watch each game in 2023 and award points on a three-two-one basis, meaning a maximum of six points are available for every match of the 2023 Telstra Premiership season.
