It was all about the Queensland Under 17 City Girls team in the first game of day at Moreton Daily Stadium.
City, despite only having 16 players named, were completely dominant from kick-off until the final siren, winning 40-6 against Country.
Queensland Under 17 City coach Deanna Turner was thrilled with her side.
"It was just an awesome display of footy," Turner said.
"They just executed to perfection today and displayed all the skills that we've been working really hard on. They stuck to the process and we reaped the rewards today."
Queensland Rugby League female pathways and Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons coach Tahnee Norris said there was "some really good footy out there".
"City had a lot of ball and they executed really well... it was really nice to see," Norris said.
"There's some real talent in this group. So to see the tries scored in the corner and the backline shifts and the talent that's in that City side, there's some big futures there.
"And just the heart of the Country side. They took out this game last year and they just kept trying until the end today. Full credit to them.
"They had some really big hits in there... I'd hate to be running at a couple of these girls, but full credit to them, they really tried hard. Just got outclassed today."
City winger Aspen Nakao was first to score in the corner in the sixth minute, putting medal to the metal to outrun the Country defence.
Not the be outdone, fellow City winger Ebony Raftstrand-Smith - Maroons star Tiana Raftstrand-Smith's younger sister - ran most of the field to score under the posts.
Fullback Kiarah Siauane added to City's tally and not long after, Nakoa grabbed her second try of the day seven minutes before half-time.
Ariana Henderson followed suit for City, making the half-time score 22-0.

City, captained by Sienna Lofipo, were first to score in the second half, continuing City's domination of the game, with Estanoa Faitala winning the ball in the air to drop for a try.
Country's Marissa Nicholson crossed for a try, to put Country on the score board but Lofipo crossed not long after to take the score to 30-6.
City's Tavarna Papalii leapfrogged a Country player to find her way to the try line and put City even further in front and City's Patricia Wani scored the final try of the game to take it 40-6.
