The search is on for a key member of the Western Clydesdales team as the new Hostplus Cup club is calling for applications for its chief executive officer role.
The Clydesdales are advertising for CEO candidates as they look to fill the crucial off-field position ahead of returning to the Hostplus Cup next season.
It is an exciting, new era for the Clydesdales as they compete in the Queensland state league for the first time in 17 years and as their fledgling affiliation with the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs NRL club grows.
Clydesdales chair Tony Coonan said this was a wonderful opportunity for an experienced professional with an interest in rugby league to play a key part in building a successful club.
“We’re thrilled to begin the selection process for our CEO and are excited to see the calibre of applicants that want to be part of what we’re building at the Clydesdales,” Coonan said.
“Applications are open now and close on Monday, September 12. I invite anyone interested in the position to apply through Classic Recruitment and Human Resources as jobs like this in rugby league don’t come around very often.
“It’s an exciting time for the Clydesdales as we prepare to return to the Hostplus Cup and as our new partnership with the Bulldogs grows, so this is an incredible opportunity for a leader in business and sports administration to take on a rewarding challenge.
“It’s also the chance for someone to grow the foundations and culture of a club that already has a proud history and a passionate rugby league community behind it.”
The ideal candidate will be ambitious and hard-working, with a proven history of leadership excellence.
They will possess commercial and political acumen, innovative thinking, outstanding communication skills and the ability to influence and advocate in the club’s best interests.
