Update: Ponga and Munster

The Queensland Maroons can provide an update on both Kalyn Ponga and Cameron Munster.

“Kalyn has passed all the return to play protocols," Maroons team doctor Matt Hislop said.

"He saw independent specialists in Newcastle on Monday, and was given the clear to return to play with us. He’s feeling fine. He will train with us as normal with no restrictions, so that’s good news.

“Cameron had X-rays at the Storm which were very reassuring. In fact, he was a chance to even play with the Storm straight after our Origin game.

"He’s just getting a few precautionary treatments from our physio and we might look at modifying his contact early, but he will play with us and we have no concerns about him.”
