Harvey Norman Under 19 National Championships title winners the Queensland Rubys feature strongly in this year’s Queensland Under 19 women’s squad announced today by Queensland Rugby League.
Following an outstanding performance throughout the recent four-day tournament held at Pizzey Park, 13 Rubys players have been selected in the 22-player squad.
The squad also includes three players who recently featured in the thrilling BMD Premiership grand final, with Central Queensland Capras centre Emma Paki and North Queensland Gold Stars duo April Ngatupuna and Jasmine Peters selected.
Peters, alongside Tweed Seagulls half Jada Ferguson, are the two NRLW contracted “marquee” under 20s players who are eligible for the match.
The squad will assemble on the Gold Coast on Saturday under the guidance of head coach Ben Jeffries in preparation for next Thursday night’s game at Leichhardt Oval.
