Significant rainfall has put a dampener on the start to the 2022 statewide competitions season, with some games postponed and others in limbo until tomorrow.

Three of the six statewide competitions - the Cyril Connell Challenge, Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup and Harvey Norman Under 19 competitions - were due to kick-off this weekend, but flooding means some of the fields are too wet and cannot be played on.

The PacificAus Sports Melanesian Bowl - a pre-season clash between Hostplus Cup team PNG Hunters and the Fiji Kava Kaiviti Silktails at Bycroft Oval at Runaway Bay - is still going ahead at this stage.

The postponement of some games means the much-anticipated first weekend of QPlus.tv, the platform livestreaming all statewide competitions games this year, is not without a hitch, however, the first round played of each competition will still be free for interested fans.

All statewide competitions games scheduled for Bishop Park have been postponed.

The Cyril Connell Challenge games between Tweed Seagulls and Burleigh Bears, and the Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup game between Tweed Seagulls and Souths Logan Magpies will go ahead at this stage at Tugun.

Sunday's Cyril Connell Challenge game between Redcliffe Dolphins and Brisbane Tigers, originally scheduled for Saturday at Moreton Daily Stadium, and the Auswide Bank Mal Meninga Cup game between the Tigers and Burleigh Bears will still go ahead at this stage at either Carina or Langlands Park, depending on the weather.

Visit QRL.com.au/draw to see any updates; matches listed as being played at  12am reflect postponed matches.

All Brisbane-based Hostplus Cup and Hastings Deering Colts trial games have also been cancelled.
