The Brisbane Broncos have confirmed they will prepare for their 2022 season by again facing off against affiliate club Wynnum Manly Seagulls in a pre-season trial.
Last season’s trial match ended in an entertaining 22-22 draw and also gave fans a glimpse of what was to come for the club, with youngster Selwyn Cobbo displaying his skills for both the Seagulls and the Broncos in the same game.
The NRL club have confirmed they will play their much-anticipated opening trial against the Seagulls at BMD Kougari Oval on Saturday, February 12.

The match against last year’s Cup grand finalists will provide Broncos coach Kevin Walters with plenty of insight into his new-look team, with the Seagulls set to put in a good showing which will help his side's preparations on the eve of their 2022 NRL campaign.
The Broncos are expected to field a strong outfit and will use the trial to get crucial minutes on the park after a gruelling off season.
Some familiar faces may also line up against the Seagulls, with Cobbo, TC Robati, Delouise Hoeter and Harrison Graham, who played with Wynnum Manly last season, all part of the current Broncos set up.
Following the premiership success of the club’s Hastings Deering Colts side last season, the Seagulls may also give some of their young faces a chance to perform with the Cup team during the trial match.
