Inspirational Ipswich Jets skipper Nathaniel Neale claimed the Allan Langer Medal as the Intrust Super Cup player of the year for a remarkable sixth time in his career at the recent Jets end-of-season awards.
The hard-working prop, who claimed the award in the last full season of Cup in 2019, was also named in the Intrust Super Cup’s Team of the Year this year, capping a great individual season.
Young talent Tyler Coburn, who started the year with a pre-season opportunity with Newcastle Knights, and experienced rake Kierran Moseley were the other big Cup winners on the night.
The club also honoured their retirees this season, an illustrious list that includes former XXXX Queensland Residents half Josh Cleeland, exciting backs Rogan Dean, Wes Conlon and Peter Gubb.
Tyson Lofipo, who also hung up his boots this season after playing in more than 200 games for the club, was named the Danny Coburn Club Person of the Year.
The Cup awards were supported by Savige Pest Control and the Hastings Deering Colts awards were supported by University of Southern Queensland.
