All eyes on the ladders as competitions enter final round

The final round of the Intrust Super Cup and Hastings Deering Colts will see plenty of intrigue, with finals places on the line this weekend.

This weekend's Harvey Norman Women in League Round will see a jostle for the top four and a fight to make the top eight in both competitions with strong interest building on the standings on the ladder.

With both Northern Pride (currently in eighth spot) and Sunshine Coast Falcons (sitting in ninth spot) winning at the weekend, the two teams will be working hard towards a final round win to lock in a spot in the finals.

Pride have a tough game on Saturday afternoon against Burleigh Bears, but as they are in the box seat already, if they win, they can breathe easy.

However, if they lose, the Sunshine Coast Falcons will have extra motivation to win in their match against the Central Queensland Capras who, although have not got many wins, have proven to be a tough opponent throughout the season.

Tweed Seagulls (in fourth place) and Redcliffe Dolphins (in fifth place) will also be needing wins to try and earn a place in the top four which will give them an extra advantage during the finals series.

Depending on other results, both teams could also be in the running for second spot in the ladder, with Wynnum Manly Seagulls and Bears also in the mix for a top-two finish.

The Seagulls will face PNG Hunters in this weekend's Kayo Saturday match, while the Dolphins face fellow top eight side Souths Logan Magpies on Sunday's broadcast match.

In the Hastings Deering Colts, Wynnum Manly are out in front, but have a pack of teams right on their heels on the ladder

Positions two through to 10 are all incredibly tight, with the second-placed Townsville Blackhawks on 18 points and the 10th-placed Central Queensland Capras with 12. Currently, Mackay Cutters sit in that coveted eighth place with 14 competition points.

There will be plenty on the line this weekend in Round 14 for the teams in contention for the top eight - and for those looking for a place in the top four as well.

In a heavily congested ladder, Redcliffe Dolphins (fourth), Sunshine Coast Falcons (fifth), Souths Logan Magpies (sixth) and Tweed Seagulls (seventh) could all be in with a chance to claim that last spot in the top four.

The round will kick off in Townsville with the Blackhawks at home to Wynnum Manly Seagulls on Saturday and conclude on Sunday afternoon with the Sunshine Coast Falcons taking on the Central Queensland Capras.
