Statement: Statewide competitions games cancelled

Queensland Rugby League has cancelled this weekend's Hastings Deering Colts and Intrust Super Cup games following this morning's Queensland Government lockdown announcement.

QRL managing director Robert Moore said he understood it was disappointing for players and fans, but the safety of everyone was the priority.

Moore said the QRL was working to ensure all of those who had already travelled for their games returned home safely as soon as possible.

An update on impacted community football games will be provided shortly.
