The Queensland Rugby League is excited to announce a three-year partnership extension with Bauerfeind ANZ.
Following on from the successful launch of the partnership in 2020, Bauerfeind will continue to support the recovery and high performance of both the men’s and women’s Queensland teams as well as the wider QRL network of athletes.
Bauerfeind combines more than 90 years of expertise to develop an extensive range of high-quality, braces and supports, insoles and compression products.
Bauerfeind ANZ managing director Walid Yassine said the continuation of the partnership with QRL and the Maroons was an exciting prospect.
“We assisted the successful Maroons squads at the back end of a rigorous year when State of Origin was at the end of the season and where recovery was key,” Yassine said.
“We are proud to continue to complement the trainers and physios in the Maroons camps to help the squad perform at the highest level for another three years.”
Maroons physiotherapist Rob Godbolt said the importance of Bauerfeind, and their recovery technology, would continue to be a massive contributor for the squad.
Maroons physio talks about the importance of recovery
“Physio for the Maroons is all about injury management for the players,” Godbolt said.
“Compression is a huge part of our recovery... if you do it right, you’ll be three steps ahead of where you’d be if you didn’t.”
As part of the partnership, Bauerfiend ANZ will also support the wider club network across Queensland, including Intrust Super Cup clubs via a range of product offers as well as education and training opportunities.
Being a firm fixture of Olympic medical care since 2002, an official NBA partner, as well as doing work with a host of sporting teams from NRL, AFL, NBL and A-League, it is clear why Bauerfeind are trusted to be the best in bracing, compression and injury supports in Australia and worldwide.
