Queensland Rugby League is pleased to announce the Queensland Under 19 girls extended squad following the completion of the successful Harvey Norman Women's National Championships held at Redcliffe.
Coach Kelvin Wright has named 24 players in the squad following the all-Queensland under 19 grand final, which will begin training this week in preparation for the June 25 clash against New South Wales at Sunshine Coast Stadium.
Wright, who will be supported by Central Queensland Capras head coach Amanda Ohl and former representative player Deanna Turner, will trim the squad to 18 in the coming weeks.
The Under 19 clash will feature some of the country’s leading emerging talent, and will be played before the women’s State of Origin match.
