The Bears came out firing in the first half to lead 24-6 at the break, with Tiana Raftstrand-Smith, Brittany Breayley-Nati, Crystal Tamarua and Tazmin Gray all scoring.
They continued their strong form to start the second half, with Tamarua crossing for her second in the 44th minute, followed closely by a try to fullback Tamika Upton, who was lining up against her sister, Capras second rower Sharni Upton.
In a return to form with the boot, Lauren Brown also made every conversion count, slotting six from six after finding the goal posts hard to find last weekend.
The Capras fired back in the later stages of the half, with two late tries to Mackenzie Reid and Bree Spreadborough to finish the game with some positives to take into their Round 4 match.
“We scored a couple of good tries quite early in the game, but the Capras had a really good second half,” Burleigh Bears coach Tahnee Norris said after the match.
