Former Cronulla Sharks hooker Cameron King is set to continue his rugby league career and will play with Townsville Blackhawks in 2021.
King, who made his NRL debut with the St George Illawarra Dragons in 2010 before stints with North Queensland Cowboys and Parramatta Eels, was signed to Cronulla last season and announced his retirement from the NRL last year.
While he has battled adversity during his career, including twice suffering season-ending ACL injuries, a fit King would provide a strong boost to the Townsville outfit.
Other new faces at the club for 2021 are experienced Intrust Super Cup campaigners Jordan Kenworthy and Nick Brown.
The Blackhawks kick off their season Saturday with a match at North Ipswich Reserve against the Jets.
