The Queensland Rugby League board held its monthly meeting at RLCQ today.

It was the first board meeting since the Queensland Maroons and the Harvey Norman Queensland Maroons won their respective State of Origin clashes.

QRL chair Bruce Hatcher formally noted the achievements of both Queensland teams.

“Given the ongoing challenges brought about by the pandemic, it was a real feather in the cap for the game to get both the men’s and women’s Origin games up and running in front of big crowds across three states,” Hatcher said.

“It was even more satisfying to see our two Maroons teams play so well. Queenslanders can be extremely proud of both teams and their achievements both on and off the field.”
