As voted by you: Best Cup centre in 25 years

Fond memories of a cult favourite have helped secure a strong victory in the fan poll to reveal the Intrust Super Cup 25-year team centre.

We asked you, the fans, who you thought should take out the title and the votes are in.

Worthy additional nominees such as former Ipswich Jets gun Brendon Marshall, current Burleigh Bears star Sami Sauiluma and Cup greats Greg Bourke, Damien Richters and Damien Quinn also got a mention from fans.

However, Donald Malone was able to beat all comers, withstanding both an early tussle with James Wood (13 per cent of 2793 votes) and a late surge from Justin Olam (19 per cent of 2793 votes) to earn a resounding victory.

In total, the exciting try-scorer tallied a huge 56 per cent of the 2793 votes placed, with many friends, family and fans sharing their appreciation of Malone's on-field feats.
