Cutters sign experienced international Hingano

The Mackay Cutters are excited to announce they have secured the talents of Ata Hingano for the upcoming 2020 season as one of their marquee players.

Mafoa'aeata "Ata" Hingano is a 22-year old Tongan international rugby league footballer who has previously played as halfback for the Canberra Raiders and New Zealand Warriors.

Making his NRL debut as a 19-year old for the Warriors, Hingano went on to play 15 NRL games for the Warriors and more recently, 17 games for the Canberra Raiders.

The Mackay Cutters are also pleased to announce the signing of the two more key players for the 2020 season.

Luke Polselli is 21 years old fullback / five-eighth who was the 2018 Jersey Flegg Player of the Year winner with the Cronulla Sharks.

Polselli played 21 games for Newtown Jets premiership-winning NSW Cup team this past season.

Dolbel has also been signed up the Cutters and joins the club from the Wyong Roos in the Central Coast competition.

He was the competition’s leading try scorer in 2019 with 21 tries and was awarded the club’s Team First award for the second year in a row.

Dolbel played for the A Grade double premiership winning team, Chinchilla Bulldogs, in 2014.

Hingano arrived in Mackay yesterday and will start training with his new team mates this afternoon.

Dolbel and Polselli will arrive in Mackay in the new year, ready to settle into preseason training before the season kick off.
