Easts Tigers have announced the signing of experienced representative centre Brenko Lee for the 2020 season.

Hodges – who worked with Lee at the Titans in recent times – was excited to see what he would bring to the team as the Langlands Park-based team pressed to go deeper into the finals next season.

“We are really excited to bring Brenko to our club and with the quality and experience he brings, I’m sure it won't be long until we all see him back in the NRL, but we will benefit from him being a Tiger until that time comes,” Hodges said.

The 24-year-old, who has played 53 NRL games following his stints at the Canberra Raiders, Canterbury Bulldogs and the Titans, has also played for the Junior Kangaroos and Tonga in the representative arena.

The 190cm, 104kg centre will add size, skill and experience to the outside backs for the Tigers.

“He brings a lot of experience from a few NRL systems and I’m sure our fans will love seeing him on Langlands park doing his thing,” Hodges said.

“Brenko won’t be the last of our signing news, but is a welcome addition to the squad we are putting together.”

Lee, who has been part of the QRL representative programs in the past including with the Under 16 Queensland Murri team and the QAS Emerging Origin squad,  will undertake preseason training with the Melbourne Storm before joining his Tigers team-mates at Langlands Park.
