Future stars in the making were on show in Round 10 - Cairns District Junior Rugby League games played between Tully Tigers and Cairns Kangaroos at Tully Showgrounds on Saturday, August 3. Tully registered a win in Under 13s; in Under 14s, ladder leaders, Kangaroos had a win; ladder leaders, Kangaroos Under 15s had a 24 - 16 win over Tully; and Under 16s Kangaroos had a 38 - 8 win over Tully The Under 6 through to Under 12 teams showed plenty of heart and played some entertaining rugby league and there were some great footy games played in the 'not- so-tropical' torrential Tully rain and a great display of sportsmanship. The club gave a huge shout out to all referees, coaches, LeagueSafe, sports trainers and First Aid Officers, scorers, managers, canteen team, as well as all volunteers, supporters and players for braving the elements and always putting in 110 per cent.
