In pictures: Tully District All Stars claim Kenny Hamill Cup
Tully State School recently took on Tully District All Stars at Tully Showgrounds in the biggest game on the school rugby league calendar to contest the annual Kenny Hamill Cup for Under 12s. The game was played as a curtain raiser before the CDRL A grade clash against Tully Tigers and Ivanhoes Knights. Tully District All Stars went into the game as favourites and proved too strong for Tully State School with a dominant 30 - 0 victory. Nicolas Muriata from Murray Upper School was named Player of the Match. Daniel Jack and Shakobe Grant were stand-outs for Tully State School but couldn't match the speed of Tama Wilson, Nicolas Muriata and Mitch D from Tully District All Stars. The great man himself, Ken Hamill was on hand to present the Cup to the winning Tully District All Stars team. Photos: Maria Girgenti
