The rebadged South East Queensland team got their Harvey Norman Women’s National Championships off to a winning start, defeating Combined Affiliated States 44-0 in the opening game of Day 2 of the tournament.

It was a strong showing early from the CAS outfit who produced some good defence to force errors in the SEQ play that will need to be fixed up against NSW City tomorrow.

The first try came in fifth minute to powerful forward Rona Peters and they were over for four more first half tries.
