Sunshine Coast Falcons halfback Todd Murphy has joined teammate Harry Grant at the top of the Petero Civoniceva Medal leader board.
Murphy has been in scintillating touch for the Falcons, posting four tries and 34 goals to be the competition’s leading point scorer with 82.
He is also polling regular votes in the race for the prestigious Petero Civoniceva Medal, an award which recognises the best and fairest player in the Intrust Super Cup at season’s end.
Following last weekend’s big win over the Central Queensland Capras, Murphy is now level with impressive Falcons hooker Grant on 10 votes.
Having spent time with the Cronulla Sharks and Brisbane Broncos, as well as the Norths Devils and Redcliffe Dolphins, Murphy has found a new lease of life at the Falcons.
After seven rounds, the undefeated Falcons lead the competition from fellow Melbourne Storm feeder team Easts Tigers.
