The Redcliffe Dolphins will today run out in a heritage jersey for their clash against Souths Logan Magpies.
The jersey is a nod to long-time sponsor Village Motors, who will be driving the Dolphins for the next three years.
The deal takes the partnership between the brands to over ten consecutive years, with Village Motors taking over the current major sponsorship in 2011.
The brand Village Motors has been synonymous with the Dolphins for a lot longer, with Village Motors first gracing the front of the Dolphins jerseys in the early 1980s.
President Bob Jones said securing Village Motors for another term was the perfect end to a hugely successful 2018.
“The partnership between our club and the team from Village Motors has gone from strength to strength over the last ten years," Jones said.
"Winning that trophy last year meant as much to Village Motors managing director Marlene Newcombe and her staff, as it did every player - such is their commitment to the Dolphins.
"It really is an honour for us to have Marlene and her team on board again.”
To celebrate the ongoing partnership with Village Motors, the Dolphins have released the limited edition heritage jersey for 2019.
The jersey is a replica of the one worn by teams in the early 1980s, when the brand Village Motors first appeared on the front of the jerseys as major sponsor.
The jersey will be worn by the Village Motors Dolphins for the first time today against Souths Logan Magpies.
