Community spirit is alive and well in Townsville.
The city has been struck by the devastating effects of flooding in recent days and damage is widespread.
However, in amongst the anguish of this latest natural disaster to hit the northern region of the state – there are many people doing good things to help out others in their community.
From Townsville Blackhawks players rescuing pets, to NQ Cowboys players rescuing team mates and local residents by boat as the unfolding situation impacted an entire community – there are heart-warming stories all round.
QRL Northern Division (Region) have also answered the call by donating three boxes of gear (shirts and shorts etc) at the centre as they were asking for urgent supplies of clothing.
"There will be a lot of people walking around in Summer Camp shirts in the next few days," QRL Northern Division (Region) Manager Scott Nosworthy said, adding that the QRL were happy to help out in whatever way possible.

The players of Centrals wanted to do something to help in these hard times up in Townsville.
On Saturday, the Townsville A Grade defending premiers started a group chat and decided to help where they could.
The players – including former Queensland Maroon Matt Bowen – were more than happy to do their “bit for the community”.
They arranged to meet at one of the depots in Cranbrook where people could come and get sandbags.
There were eight players from the team, plus and extra three players from their newly formed women’s team who got their hands dirty filling bags.
They were helped by two coaches and two trainers from the club who turned up assist in filling the sand bags; undertaking the back-breaking task for more than three hours.
In the words of their A Grade coach Cameron Miller - “It was bloody hard work”.
