While the result didn't go their way with the experienced Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs side claiming the win on NRL grand final day; the effort was certainly there from the Redcliffe Dolphins in their Intrust Super Championship match.

Hampered by setbacks to a number of key players early in the match – with forwards Toby Rudolf, Jake Turpin and Myles Taueli all suffering leg injuries; the Dolphins were on the back foot the entire match.

The Bulldogs were strong across the park, with six of their players making more than 100m in the game; including player of the match Josh Cleeland who scored two runaway tries.

While the game ended in a disappointing loss for the Dolphins; there were some strong contributions, with players trying to lift their team-mates with their efforts.

While he would be ruing his error when he was tricked into an offload in his in-goal which resulted in a try; overall Phins lock Jamil Hopoate had a strong match, with a game-high 191m and 25 tackles.

Prop Sam Anderson also performed well in his last game in Redcliffe colours with a match-high 36 tackles and 126m; while forward James Taylor (main image) scored a barnstorming try, made 24 tackles and 120m in his 42 minutes on the field.
