Former and current Queensland Women’s representatives have been selected to feature in the PNG Orchids team to take on the Australian PM's XIII Women's team next month.
An Origin representative this year and Brisbane Broncos player Amelia Kuk has been named; as has inaugural Women’s Dally M Medal winner and previous Queensland player Jenni-Sue Hoepper.
Played at Port Moresby’s National Football Stadium on October 6 in conjunction with the men’s Prime Minister’s 13 game; the match will be another milestone for the team in what has been a big year.
Last month, the Orchids travelled to Brisbane to take part in a trial match against the Broncos in the lead-up to their NRLW season and have also been travelling to various cities in Australia following the release of the documentary about the team’s WRLWC 2017 experience ‘Power Meri’.
