Rabbitohs captain Greg Inglis is free to play this week after entering an early guilty plea to a crusher tackle on Tim Lafai in his team's dramatic win over the Dragons on Saturday night.

Inglis was charged with grade-one dangerous contact to the head/neck of Lafai but because he has a clean recent judiciary record, he does not have any carryover points so avoids a one-match ban after submitting an early guilty plea.

The player who would have been his opposite number at Allianz Stadium next Saturday night, Roosters star Latrell Mitchell, has been suspended for the preliminary final due to a similar indiscretion last weekend.

The South Sydney skipper said he was not concerned about the tackle after the 13-12 cliffhanger over St George Illawarra.

"They'll obviously look at it tomorrow and we'll get the report back from there and look at it there, he said in the post-match media conference.

"There's nothing I can do about it, can't lose any sleep over it."

Match Highlights: Rabbitohs v Dragons - Finals Week 2; 2018

In the wake of their nail-biting triumph over the Dragons at ANZ Stadium, South Sydney immediately turned their attention to arch-rivals the Sydney Roosters next week and welcomed the added pressure of going into the clash as underdogs.

"Before a ball was kicked this year the Roosters were tipped to be premiers with the recruits they had," Rabbitohs coach Anthony Seibold said.

"We go over there with nothing to lose and everything to gain. We can't wait."

The Roosters will also be without prop Dylan Napa through suspension in next week's preliminary final.

Meanwhile, Dragons forward Jeremy Latimore was also charged with grade-one dangerous contact for an incident in which he collided with Campbell Graham as the South Sydney winger leapt high to defuse a bomb. He has also escaped suspension after entering an early plea.
