Broncos back-rower Jaydn Su'A could miss the rest of the season after scans revealed he broke his ankle in the 26-6 loss to the New Zealand Warriors on Sunday.
The 20-year-old suffered the injury while chasing an Anthony Milford grubber in the 45th minute of the Suncorp Stadium clash.
His loss is a major blow to Brisbane after Su'A had solidified a starting position for the club and been one of the Broncos' standout performers over the last three months.
"Jaydn has a broken ankle and will be going to see the surgeon tomorrow to decide what is next," said Broncos' high performance manager Jeremy Hickmans on Monday.
"With the extent of the injury there is the possibility that he could be out for the rest of the year."
