Modest Origin forward Tim Glasby has revealed he was happy just to be a Central Queensland Capra and had no pretensions about ever playing State of Origin.
Glasby, whose Origin heroes included Darren Lockyer, Allan Langer and Brett Dallas, told QRL Media this week that he was stoked to merely be playing Intrust Super Cup just a few seasons ago.
"Particularly when I was at the Capras, I was just happy to be doing what I was doing there, and I was working," said Glasby.
"(Then) when I was at Easts Tigers, I was with Melbourne at the time, so I was hoping for an NRL spot.
"But no, I was never expecting to be playing for Queensland that's for sure."

>> Brink of quitting to verge of glory
Glasby discussed how proud he was that there is a strong CQ representation in the current Origin squad, with Cameron Munster, Corey Oates and Ben Hunt also having roots in the Capricornia.
Glasby said he was honoured that coach Kevin Walters would describe him as the "ultimate team man" but simply focused on getting his job done.
