They are two figures who have made a remarkable contribution to the legend of State of Origin – and now Billy Slater and Cameron Smith will be honoured with their own jerseys.
Retiring from representative football with a combined 73 Origins under their belts, Slater and Smith have been central to the dominance of the Maroons in the modern era.
Maroons clothing partner ISC has commissioned special jerseys which the families of both players will wear at next week's final game of the 2018 Origin series.
Smith & Slater Tribute Jerseys
The livery features images that encapsulate the most notable aspects of both players.
For Smith, captain on 21 occasions, his tribute jersey depicts him hoisting the Origin shield, a fitting nod to his leadership and statesmanship on behalf of Queensland.
For Slater, who will also become a skipper in his last game, the feature photograph is of him swerving at pace while running downfield, reflecting his breath-taking athleticism.
The sleeves on both jerseys reflect the years Smith (2003) and Slater (2004) debuted, and the design also incorporates their unique FOGs (Former Origin Greats) numbers.
Both jerseys are available exclusively at Maroonsshop.com
