Women's National Championship Day 2 results

It was a disappointing day for Queensland teams in Day 2 of the Harvey Norman Women’s National Championships, with both going down to the NSW representatives in their respective matches.

NSW Country and NSW City will play off tomorrow in the final of the  after putting in strong displays.

A long-time supporter of the women’s game Queensland Maroons Men’s skipper Greg Inglis was an interested spectator at Owen Park as the two NSW teams proved too strong against Queensland Country and Queensland City.

“The quality is great and it's just good to see how much it's evolved and the NRL supporting it,” Inglis told media who spotted him at the ground.

The Blues City team were dominant and were able to hold Country scoreless; while the Queensland City side and NSW Country played the game of a the day; a tight tussle which saw Country prevail in a tough and physical battle 16-6. 

Day 3 will also see three CAS face off against ADF for 5v6 with Queensland Country and Queensland City playing off in the 3v4 match.
