The Mackay Cutters will welcome back former skipper Tyson Martin to the fold in 2018 as the team looks to build on last season’s positive momentum.
The Cutters finished the 2017 season just outside of finals contention, a strong improvement from their 2016 final standing where they ended the regular season at the bottom of the ladder.
Coach Steve Sheppard will be hoping Martin’s presence, along with the arrival of a number of exciting recruits will help offset the departure of a number of key performers; with players like Jordan Pereira (St George Illawarra) and Cooper Bambling (Canberra Raiders) taking up offers with NRL clubs.
